BLET Sponsorship

Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Sponsorship

Each year, the East Carolina University Police Department provides a limited number of sponsorships to the BLET program for seniors in the ECU Criminal Justice program. ECU Criminal Justice students desiring to obtain sponsorship should contact the department no less than two (2) months before the start of the BLET program. Individuals must successfully pass a background investigation, and interview with the Chief of Police or his designated background investigator. Individuals are responsible for all costs associated with the background investigation and BLET program. Issuance of a sponsorship is NOT a guarantee of employment with the East Carolina University Police Department.
